Overview:
Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 2) is the standard one-day qualification for staff nominated to provide initial emergency response in UK workplaces. Delegates learn to assess an incident, preserve life and prevent deterioration until professional medical help arrives. The course focuses on realistic scenarios that first aiders are likely to encounter, including unconscious casualties, choking, severe bleeding and suspected heart attack or stroke.
Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for:
- Nominated first aiders in low-risk workplaces such as offices, retail and hospitality
- Staff working in smaller teams where a full first aid at work certificate is not required
- Team leaders and supervisors who may be first on scene
- Anyone responsible for maintaining first aid kits and accident records

- How to conduct a primary survey and assess responsiveness and breathing
- Safe and effective CPR on adult casualties including use of an AED

Successful delegates receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. The qualification remains valid for three years. Employers should arrange refresher training before the certificate expires to maintain compliance.
