The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) is the recognised qualification for individuals who may be first on scene at a medical emergency. It provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to assess, stabilise and manage casualties until further medical help arrives. In 2026 this qualification remains the standard entry point for many security, event medical, industrial response and community first responder roles across the UK.

Successful delegates receive the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care certificate. The qualification is valid for three years. Learners must complete an annual refresher and a full requalification course before the certificate expires to maintain their registration.
