If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

Asbestos hazards and risks are the main focus of this UKATA Asbestos Awareness training course. This includes understanding the health risks associated with asbestos exposure and how to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Participants will also learn about the different types of asbestos and their properties.

The course will cover where asbestos materials can be found, as this is crucial knowledge for anyone working in the construction or maintenance industries. This includes learning how to identify and safely handle asbestos-containing materials, as well as understanding the importance of proper disposal procedures. Participants will also learn about the risks associated with disturbing asbestos materials.

Legislation and guidance related to asbestos will be discussed in detail during the course. This includes the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant laws and regulations. Participants will learn about their legal responsibilities and the consequences of non-compliance. They will also be provided with guidance on how to effectively manage asbestos risks in the workplace.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Milton Keynes! Getting here is straightforward, but we recommend arriving early, especially if youre driving. Parking right outside is limited, and larger vehicles like vans or lorries wont find space nearby. However, you can find free parking on Lyon Road, though it tends to fill up quickly.To reach us, head west on Rampart Way from the A5, take the 4th exit at the roundabout onto the M54 ramp, and merge onto the M6. Follow the signs to the M1, exit at junction 14 onto the A509, and continue until you reach us. We look forward to welcoming you! Refreshments, including hot and cold drinks, will be provided..
