Who Should Attend?
This 2 to 3 hr course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills, or who takes part in an organised first aid scheme. For health care workers, this course serves as a basic module. Previous first aid experience is recommended but not essential on most courses.

Specific Automated External Defibrillation (AED) joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda
The course will cover the treatment of an unconscious casualty, including resuscitation techniques and how to recognize and respond to heart attacks. Participants will also learn how to operate an AED and manage emergency situations effectively. Communication and proper care for the casualty will also be emphasized.
The course will also cover the proper response to chest pains and how to effectively use any type of AED. Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the AED and practice operating it. They will also learn how to treat an unconscious casualty and perform CPR.
In addition to these skills, the course will also cover the importance of quick and effective action in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to assess the situation and respond accordingly, as well as how to work as a team to provide the best care for the casualty.
The course will provide practical and hands-on training, allowing participants to gain confidence and proficiency in using an AED. They will also learn about the legal implications of using an AED and how to properly document and report an emergency situation. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently respond to emergency situations involving an AED.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Aberdeen! Getting here is straightforward. If youre coming from the A90, simply head south on the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. Take the ramp towards Inverness and merge onto Chapel of Stoneywood-Fairley Road. At Craibstone Roundabout, take the third exit onto the A96. Continue straight through Bucksburn and Kittybrewster Roundabouts, staying on the A96. Turn left onto Powis Place, then take the second exit at the next roundabout onto W N Street. A right turn onto King Street leads you to Marischal Street, where youll turn left onto Regent Quay. The Training Centre will be on your left. Safe travels!
