Who Should Attend?

This 2 to 3 hr course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills, or who takes part in an organised first aid scheme. For health care workers, this course serves as a basic module. Previous first aid experience is recommended but not essential on most courses.

Course Agenda

The course will cover the treatment of an unconscious casualty, including resuscitation techniques and how to recognize and respond to heart attacks. Participants will also learn how to operate an AED and manage emergency situations effectively. Communication and proper care for the casualty will also be emphasized.

The course will also cover the proper response to chest pains and how to effectively use any type of AED. Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the AED and practice operating it. They will also learn how to treat an unconscious casualty and perform CPR.

In addition to these skills, the course will also cover the importance of quick and effective action in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to assess the situation and respond accordingly, as well as how to work as a team to provide the best care for the casualty.

The course will provide practical and hands-on training, allowing participants to gain confidence and proficiency in using an AED. They will also learn about the legal implications of using an AED and how to properly document and report an emergency situation. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently respond to emergency situations involving an AED.

Welcome to the Bath Training Centre! Located in the beautiful town of Bath, our venue is easily accessible by car from the M4 and Bristol. Simply take the A429/A350 exit and follow the signs to Cirencester/Chippenham. Once you reach Stanton St Quintin, take the 5th exit onto the M4 ramp and merge onto the motorway. At junction 18, take the A46 exit towards Bath/Stroud and continue on the A46 until you reach Gorse Ln. Turn right onto Freezinghill Ln and then left onto Lansdown Ln. Follow the road until you reach the roundabout and take the 1st exit onto High St. Continue onto Crown Rd and Weston Ln, then turn right onto Windsor Bridge Rd/A3604. Finally, turn right onto Lower Bristol Rd/A36 and then right onto River Pl. Our training centre will be on your left.
