Who Should Attend?

This 2 to 3 hr course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills, or who takes part in an organised first aid scheme. For health care workers, this course serves as a basic module. Previous first aid experience is recommended but not essential on most courses.

Course Agenda

The course will cover the treatment of an unconscious casualty, including resuscitation techniques and how to recognize and respond to heart attacks. Participants will also learn how to operate an AED and manage emergency situations effectively. Communication and proper care for the casualty will also be emphasized.

The course will also cover the proper response to chest pains and how to effectively use any type of AED. Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the AED and practice operating it. They will also learn how to treat an unconscious casualty and perform CPR.

In addition to these skills, the course will also cover the importance of quick and effective action in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to assess the situation and respond accordingly, as well as how to work as a team to provide the best care for the casualty.

The course will provide practical and hands-on training, allowing participants to gain confidence and proficiency in using an AED. They will also learn about the legal implications of using an AED and how to properly document and report an emergency situation. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently respond to emergency situations involving an AED.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Bristol! Getting here is straightforward, whether youre coming from the M5 or M4. If youre on the M5, exit at Junction 18 and follow the A4 towards Bristol City Centre, passing under the Clifton Suspension Bridge. When the road splits, take the right-hand lane over the flyover, then turn left onto Coronation Road. Just before the pelican crossing, turn right onto Greenway Bush Lane, then left into Upton Road, and right onto Raleigh Road. If youre coming from the M4, exit at Junction 19, join the M32, and follow signs for Bristol Airport. After passing Temple Meads station, continue onto York Road, then straight over the roundabout onto Coronation Road. About 400 yards after the pelican crossing, turn left into Beauley Road, then right onto Raleigh Road. The Training Centre will be on your right. We look forward to welcoming you!.
