Who Should Attend?

This 2 to 3 hr course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills, or who takes part in an organised first aid scheme. For health care workers, this course serves as a basic module. Previous first aid experience is recommended but not essential on most courses.

Course Agenda

The course will cover the treatment of an unconscious casualty, including resuscitation techniques and how to recognize and respond to heart attacks. Participants will also learn how to operate an AED and manage emergency situations effectively. Communication and proper care for the casualty will also be emphasized.

The course will also cover the proper response to chest pains and how to effectively use any type of AED. Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the AED and practice operating it. They will also learn how to treat an unconscious casualty and perform CPR.

In addition to these skills, the course will also cover the importance of quick and effective action in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to assess the situation and respond accordingly, as well as how to work as a team to provide the best care for the casualty.

The course will provide practical and hands-on training, allowing participants to gain confidence and proficiency in using an AED. They will also learn about the legal implications of using an AED and how to properly document and report an emergency situation. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently respond to emergency situations involving an AED.

Welcome to The Training Centre in St. Helens! Getting here is a breeze. If youre coming from the M62, simply take the A557/A57/A570 exit towards Widnes/Prescot/St. Helens. At the Rainhill Stoops Interchange, take the 5th exit onto St Helens Linkway/A570. Stay on this road, and when you reach Cannington Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Linkway W/A58. Next, turn left onto Dentons Green Lane/A570, then right onto Rivington Road. Finally, take a left onto Windleshaw Road, and youll find The Training Centre on your left. We look forward to welcoming you!

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the Automated External Defibrillation AED training course, candidates will receive a certificate of achievement. This certificate is accredited by the First Aid Industry Body FAIB and is recognized by employers and regulatory bodies.
