Course Information

First aid cover is a legal requirement for all workplaces. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification gives learners the skills and confidence to deal with common workplace incidents until professional medical help arrives....

Who Should Attend?

A person who is required to provide First Aid for employees in a low risk environment.

Joining Instructions

Delegates should arrive 15 minutes prior to start of course, a Permit is required for the car park which you will receive on the day of the course from our trainer, We need to be aware of any dietary requirements prior to course start date.

Course Agenda

• Responsibilities of a First Aider • Recording of incidents and use of available equipment • Emergency action plan, primary & secondary survey, airway management • Dealing with an unconscious casualty (including seizure) • Defibrillation protocols (theory) ILCOR 2010 • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation; AED descriptions and usage • Choking • Treatment of minor Injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises) • Dealing with blood loss and the treatment of shock • Bandages, dressing and minor bleeds • Minor burns and scalds.

Training Venue

Welcome to The Training Centre in Doncaster! Were excited to have you join us for your upcoming course. Getting here is straightforward from the A1M, head south and take the M18 exit towards Sheffield/Scunthorpe/M180. Merge onto the M18, then take the A6182 exit towards Doncaster/Robin Hood Airport. At St Catherines Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto Great Yorkshire Way/A6182. Continue straight, turn right onto Hayfield Lane, and then right onto First Avenue. Youll find The Training Centre on your right. We also offer wheelchair access, designated parking, and refreshments, including a buffet lunch. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know at least 7 days before your course. We look forward to welcoming you!. Accreditation

The Emergency First Aid at Work EFAW training course is accredited and recognized by the Health and Safety Executive HSE in the UK. Successful candidates will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
