Course Information

This course teaches the essential skills required by an AED operator and gives students the confidence to know what to do in this kind of emergency. 

Who Should Attend?

This 2 to 3 hr course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills, or who takes part in an organised first aid scheme. For health care workers, this course serves as a basic module. Previous first aid experience is recommended but not essential on most courses.

Joining Instructions

If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

The course will cover the treatment of an unconscious casualty, including resuscitation techniques and how to recognize and respond to heart attacks. Participants will also learn how to operate an AED and manage emergency situations effectively. Communication and proper care for the casualty will also be emphasized.

The course will also cover the proper response to chest pains and how to effectively use any type of AED. Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the AED and practice operating it. They will also learn how to treat an unconscious casualty and perform CPR.

In addition to these skills, the course will also cover the importance of quick and effective action in emergency situations. Participants will learn how to assess the situation and respond accordingly, as well as how to work as a team to provide the best care for the casualty.

The course will provide practical and hands-on training, allowing participants to gain confidence and proficiency in using an AED. They will also learn about the legal implications of using an AED and how to properly document and report an emergency situation. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently respond to emergency situations involving an AED.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Doncaster! Were excited to have you join us for your upcoming course. Getting here is straightforward from the A1M, head south and take the M18 exit towards Sheffield/Scunthorpe/M180. Merge onto the M18, then take the A6182 exit towards Doncaster/Robin Hood Airport. At St Catherines Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto Great Yorkshire Way/A6182. Continue straight, turn right onto Hayfield Lane, and then right onto First Avenue. Youll find The Training Centre on your right. We also offer wheelchair access, designated parking, and a disabled access toilet for your convenience. Enjoy refreshments and a buffet lunch during your full-day course, and please let us know about any dietary requirements at least 7 days in advance. We look forward to welcoming you!.
