A 7- day course which includes a free Emergency first aid at work, also covering the required mandatory modules as specified by both the SIA and the awarding bodies. Upon successful completion it will allow the learner to apply to the SIA for their Door Supervision Licence....

Who Should Attend?

Any person over the age of 18 who wishes to apply to work within the Private Security Industry as a Door Supervisor.

Joining Instructions

Learners must be sufficiently competent in English as the course and assessments are conducted in English. It is also recognised that a Door Supervisior will through the course of their duties be expected to contact the emergency services or to use communication skills to resolve conflict, therefore good communication skills are essential. The learner also has to provide 3 forms of ID 1 of them a passport or driving licence along with 2 proof of address. More in depth instructions will be emailed to the learner on booking.

Course Agenda

Topics covered include the main characteristics of the Private Security Industry, the importance of safe working practices, drug-misuse legislation, issues and procedures relevant to the role of a door supervisor, licensing law, queue management, how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations, problem-solving techniques when resolving conflict, physical interventions and the implications of their use and the use non-aggressive physical skills to protect yourself and others. Also on day 1 you will undertake an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, now a mandatory requirement for all new entrants to the Security Industry when working as a Door Supervisor..

Accreditation

By completing the National Certificate for Door Supervisors, candidates become eligible for an SIA licence. This allows them to legally work as a door supervisor. Successful candidates receive temporary certificates of attendance from Xyz Training Group, serving as proof of completion and eligibility to work as an SIA Door Supervisor.

Accreditations earned through the course are automatically added to the National Training Card. This makes it easier for employers to verify qualifications and allows candidates to start working immediately, provided they have also applied for and received their SIA license.

Upon successful completion of the SIA Door Supervisor training course, candidates receive a National Certificate and temporary certificates of attendance from Xyz Training Group. These enable them to obtain an SIA license and start working as a door supervisor. The courses accreditations are also added to the National Training Card for easy verification by employers..
