Joining Instructions

Owing to the practical nature of this course a basis level of general fitness is required. Delegates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline. Should you have any questions relating to the accessibility of this course please dont hesitate to get in touch.Please ensure you bring photo ID with you and present to your trainer at the beginning of the course, this is a requirement of the course accreditation and certificates cannot be provided without it.If English is your second language you are permitted to bring and use a hard copy bilingual dictionary during the course. Test papers are only available in English however, you can use your bilingual dictionary to help translate words. These can also be used in combination with a full verbally spoken multiple choice question assessment.

This course programme, accredited by Qualsafe Awards follows a set syllabus and contains the most up to date information available including:Planning for, and dealing with, first aid emergencies involving babies and childrenUnconsciousness and resuscitation of babies and childrenChokingMinor cuts, bites, stings, bleeding and shockAnaphylactic shockBroken bones and sprainsHead, neck and back injuriesBurns and scaldsPoisoningBurnsEffects of extreme heat and cold including febrile convulsionsContamination and injury to the eyes and foreign objects in the ears and noseOther medical conditions including epilepsy, asthma, diabetes and meningitis.

This course is of 12 hours (two days) durationOur open courses run from 9.30am - 4.30pm each day

Accreditation

The Paediatric First Aid 2 Day training course is accredited by XYZ Training Group and is part of the First Aid family of training courses. Successful candidates will receive a certificate that is valid for three years.

This certificate is awarded upon completion of the course and successful continuous assessment. There is no final examination, as the focus is on practical skills and knowledge.
