Course Agenda

The Sports Injury First Aid training course covers various topics related to first aid for sports injuries. It starts with an introduction to the course and its objectives. Participants will learn about the importance of first aid in sports, the common types of injuries, and the role of a first aider. They will also be introduced to the principles of first aid and how to assess and manage an injured athlete.

The course then moves on to specific injuries and their treatment. Participants will learn about soft tissue injuries, such as sprains and strains, and how to manage them using the RICE Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation method. They will also learn about bone injuries, such as fractures, and how to immobilize them using splints and slings. In addition, participants will learn about head injuries, including concussions, and how to recognize and manage them.

The next part of the course focuses on medical emergencies that may occur during sports activities. Participants will learn about common medical conditions, such as asthma and diabetes, and how to provide first aid in case of an emergency.
