Specific UKATA Asbestos Awareness joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

Asbestos hazards and risks are the main focus of this UKATA Asbestos Awareness training course. This includes understanding the health risks associated with asbestos exposure and how to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Participants will also learn about the different types of asbestos and their properties.

The course will cover where asbestos materials can be found, as this is crucial knowledge for anyone working in the construction or maintenance industries. This includes learning how to identify and safely handle asbestos-containing materials, as well as understanding the importance of proper disposal procedures. Participants will also learn about the risks associated with disturbing asbestos materials.

Legislation and guidance related to asbestos will be discussed in detail during the course. This includes the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant laws and regulations. Participants will learn about their legal responsibilities and the consequences of non-compliance. They will also be provided with guidance on how to effectively manage asbestos risks in the workplace.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Dingwall! Getting here is straightforward. If youre coming from the A9 in Inverness, head east towards A938. Take a left onto A938, then a right onto B9153. Stay on B9153 with another left, then right at A9. At Longman Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A9, and at Tore Roundabout, the 2nd exit onto A835. At Maryburgh Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A862, then left onto High St/A834. Continue on A834, turn right onto Fodderty Way, and left to stay on it. Fodderty Way will curve right and become Strath View, with The Training Centre on your left. We look forward to welcoming you!
