Course Agenda

Asbestos hazards and risks are the main focus of this UKATA Asbestos Awareness training course. This includes understanding the health risks associated with asbestos exposure and how to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Participants will also learn about the different types of asbestos and their properties.

The course will cover where asbestos materials can be found, as this is crucial knowledge for anyone working in the construction or maintenance industries. This includes learning how to identify and safely handle asbestos-containing materials, as well as understanding the importance of proper disposal procedures. Participants will also learn about the risks associated with disturbing asbestos materials.

Legislation and guidance related to asbestos will be discussed in detail during the course. This includes the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant laws and regulations. Participants will learn about their legal responsibilities and the consequences of non-compliance. They will also be provided with guidance on how to effectively manage asbestos risks in the workplace.

The course will also cover everyones role in reducing risks associated with asbestos. This includes the responsibilities of employers, employees, and self-employed individuals. Welcome to The Training Centre in Salford! Getting here is a breeze. If youre coming from the M60 motorway, simply take junction 16 towards Pendlebury/Salford. Merge onto the A666 and keep going straight. When you reach Langley Road, take a left and follow it until you spot Unit 6 Agecroft Trading Estate on your left. Once you arrive, you can look forward to some refreshing tea or coffee to kick off your training experience. We cant wait to see you there!
